Lake Elmo Park Reserve is our most frequented park in the Twin Cities.  It can support all the activities we offer (kayaking, paddle boarding, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, hiking, and camping) as well as many others.  It's beautiful rolling hills, prairies, and wooded sections are the perfect way to escape from the craziness of daily life.  There are also modern and rustic campgrounds so you can stay for a few days and take everything in.

Things we find special about Lake Elmo Park Reserve are:

  • Beautiful quiet lake with minimal boat traffic that is the perfect size for our kayaking tours and paddle boarding tours
  • Miles wide of non-technical, rolling mountain bike trails ideal for our beginner and intermediate fat tire biking adventures in both the summer and winter
  • Snowshoeing trails and the ability to go bushwhacking throughout the park
  • Nice group camping sites and pavilions that are always super clean and well maintained
  • Lit XC ski trails that originate from an awesome nordic center with modern restrooms
  • Trails are beautiful and a nice mix of prairies and wooded sections that cross several bodies of water
  • Park staff that are extremely helpful and do a great job and maintaining the park
  • Dog friendly!
